#1 BOOSTER GOLD #8 - Anyone who follows the blog, knows how I feel about this Booster Gold series. I'm going to have to come up with something interesting to say about it. #2 TITANS #1 - I'm looking forward to this book. I wish it were written be Geoff Johns based on the fantastic classic era Titans story he did in The Teen Titan's East special. Winnick has to prove himself on this book. #3 GREEN LANTERN CORPS #23 - I'm glad were back to the Mongul storyline. Also with countdown I'm wondering where this epilogue to the Sinestro Corps storyline falls for Kyle during countdown. Is it before or after? #4 GREEN ARROW BLACK CANARY #7 - I'm digging this book, but the last issue fell a little flat. #5 JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #14 - Based on the previews this Gog story line isn't anywhere near done. I am a bit bored by it. Also i wonder if the cover is supposed to be reminiscent to the DC universe promos on purpose . #6 LAST DEFENDERS #...

Booster Gold is New Reader Friendly

Rich  said this in his last blog post.  " Booster Gold #7  - No real surprises this time round but nicely crafted stuff with lots of nods to continuity - although I do wonder if that very thing doesn't make it a bit of a niche book that basically appeals only to fanboys (and girls). " Rokk  also felt that Booster Gold #5 wasn't accessible to new readers.  Which makes me wonder do you think Booster Gold is a niche book that only appeals to fanboys ?  I would argue, no. I feel quite the opposite. I think Booster Gold, has been a book that can introduce new readers to DC history. Johns and Katz are skilled in giving exposition and have all the tools necessary to explain it to the readers with out it feeling forced. They have often teamed up Booster with people not in the know of that is going on Jaime Reyes, Jonah Hex, and Dan Garrett to cite a few. They also have Skeets who usually explains everything to Booster anyway...

Wow! What an awesome week. The top 5 books are my monthly faves. That means that next week is probably gonna stink.  #1 BOOSTER GOLD #0 - I've never read the actual zero hour mini-series this ties into. I've read summaries and reviews on it and don't reall y feel like it'll be a must read to enjoy this issue.  In fact I feel like Booster Gold might be the best book to help new readers in on dc history. #2 GREEN ARROW BLACK CANARY #5 - I love Green Arrow and I never know where this book is going. I have no idea what to expect from this book other than high quality. #3 SALVATION RUN #4  (OF 7) - This book is pretty good thus far. I just hope we see a little more action from the Flash rogues. #4 NEW AVENGERS #38 - This book is still holding my interest. I'm still kind of pissed that it is absolutely nothing like the comic that it was in issue #1. #5 GREEN LANTERN CORPS  #21 - The Alpha Lanterns are going to make the Green Lanterns life m...
