Fake Fighting Frenzy: Why WWE Must Turn Roman Reigns Heel (or reunite the Shield)

Image
Roman Reigns has had seven ( seven ) opportunities at the WWE championship in the past year and has won it twice with a third title reign (no pun intended) seemingly inevitable. Why does WWE Creative possibly think we're still buying the idea that the Authority is actively working against his success? The only thing that makes sense at this point is for the Authority and Reigns to have been in it together all along. But then what does that mean for Roman Reigns v. Triple H at WrestleMania? How could you even book a Roman Reigns heel turn at this point? You would have to add a third person--a babyface. John Cena? Ugh, that's a depressing prospect but at least it would make sense and Roman Reigns could be the Authority's hand-picked heel champion and it could set up what could be a really good John Cena v. Roman Reigns title match at WrestleMania 33. Seth Rollins? He probably won't be back at 100% in time for WrestleMania but if he could be, he would be perfect. You c...

Fake Fighting Frenzy: Vundablog Goes to WRESTLEMANIA!!!

Image
"THE BOYHOOD DREAM HAS COME TRUE..." -Vince McMahon That's right, fake fighting fanatics. For the first time in the nearly twenty years I've been a wrestling fan, I FINALLY got to experience WRESTLEMANIA live and in person! This is quite literally an actual line item on my Bucket List. I've dreamed of this chance for years. WrestleMania came to my hometown (and home of Vundablog headquarters) of Miami, FL in 2012 but it had been quite some time since I had kept up with the current state of WWE and I didn't think I would enjoy it enough to use a birthday and/or Christmas present on it. Boy was I wrong. Us Vundabloggers watched WrestleMania XXVIII on pay-per-view and the whole time I couldn't help thinking how much I wish I had asked for that ticket for Christmas or my birthday. The HHH/Undertaker Hell In a Cell match was EPIC. C.M. Punk v. Chris Jericho was sick. Even The Rock v. John Cena was fun for what it was, especially since it was in The Ro...

Update on Daniel Bryan's Condition (SPOILERS) and Money In the Bank Theory/Fantasy Booking (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

Image
So the big news of the day is that Daniel Bryan will not be cleared to compete in this month's Money In the Bank pay-per-view and therefore will likely--probably tonight--be stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship . This means that the Money In the Bank match at the PPV will likely be for the championship rather than for the briefcase(s) and contract(s). But it doesn't necessarily have to be. Not exactly. WWE.com Here's what I propose: Reveal tonight on Raw that HHH has inked a deal with Daniel Bryan to split the titles back up again and have Bryan forfeit either the WWE Title or the World Heavyweight Championship while retaining the other. This effectively turns HHH on Steph while still essentially keeping him heel because he believes Daniel Bryan is "best for business" and can make The Authority a lot of money but Steph disagrees because he's insubordinate and beloved and a legitimate threat to their power and she learned from her dad that...
