Force Sensitive: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Official Teaser #2

Image
The more they show the more I want to see. All the visuals are so dramatic and alluring Here are some of my favorites. Love the scope in this shot, and you can feel an swesome movie sequence and video game level from its visual.  And we get a tease of what the scene will be.  The Empire looks proud and majestic.  As does the Rebellion.  The villains look oh so evil.  Especially this guy who I'm imagining will have  Boba Fett level of cool in this movie.  I just wonder if this Sith is the same as the dark trooper above or a separate character..  BB-8 steals the trailer with his cuteness yet again. Seeing BB-8 peaking around the halls of the Millennium Falcon is adorable.  The Abrams-esque action is on display.  As well as old friends.  And dark omens from the past.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Official Teaser and Vundablog Analysis

It has arrived, and it does not disappoint. It is dripping in style and cool. I love everything about this trailer. The way the music plays, the shots chosen, and the voice over. So far JJ has me at hello.  Let me take you through what were the major highlights for me.  I love the cuteness and uniqueness of this droid. Ihope he plays a big part. It might be a weird dynamic to add a third droid to a perfect two man team, but if anyone can pull it off it's JJ. Do you think this droid is all practical, all cgi, or a mix of both? The vehicle design is magnificent. Things look real and like a natural progression from the original trilogy. I love this massive speeder bike thing that looks like a popsicle and have no doubt there will be like twelve toys of it. No list of this trailer's awesome would be complete with out mentioning the cross guard light saber. It looks menacing and unique and just all kinds of badass. The look of the bleak snow c...

Filmmaker Fandom Friday: Dinner For Five S04E09 - Kevin Smith, Jason Lee, Stan Lee, Mark Hamill, and JJ Abrams

Abrams with Hamill before episode 7, possibly his first time meeting Hamill. Also Stan Lee sitting next to Luke Skywalker is a nerdgasm. As always I love Kevin Smith and Jason Lee.

Trek Talk: Cumberbatch Star Trek Theory

Image
So as you may know, if you follow this blog, I am very excited for the new Star Trek film, Star Trek Into Darkness. I have been working on this blog post for a couple of weeks, and now it may be totally irrelevant due to the latest trailer.: As you can see they call him a top agent, so he's some sort of ex-Starfleet member. Now I had a different theory as to who he was and here it is, for purely speculative purposes.  The mystery swirling about the internet is around the character of the film's villain, played by break out star of the BBC's Sherlock, Benedict Cumberbatch. I have not been particularly interested traditionally in speculating on who he could be. However, with the film not coming out till May the wait is killing me and I must do something to pass the time. First off. Why? Why should we care and speculate at who Mr. Cumberbatch will be playing in this film?

Trek Talk: NERDGASM FIRST 9 MINUTES OF INTO DARKNESS

Image
Joy of joys! My IMAX 3d screening of the Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey had the first 9 minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness. For context as to how biased I am towards this series. I saw the first Abrams Star Trek film in theatres not once, not twice, but eleven separate times. I was blown away by the film each lens flare was glorious and poignant. The performances are vibrant, raw, and every character gets a moment in the sun. It was a lot of setup but also a lot of classic memorable moments too. This movie starts off softly as we see a couple male and female in future London. They wake up, do their morning routine and go off to visit their ill daughter. At the hospital where she is being treated,  Bennedict Cumberbatch's character walks over and tells them he can help them, ominously.  Cut to an alien world and field of red plants, and two hooded figures run out of the jungle like Jack Sparrow or Indiana Jones, ch...

Trek Talk: STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS TEASER TRAILER!!!

Image
Holy shit! Have you seen the greatest thing since sliced bread the glory of the new Star Trek film Teaser Trailer. The Star Trek film that daringly uses Sar Trek as a verb STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS. I can not wait to STAR TREK INTO a DARK movie theatre and see the awesome-NESS, projected in the real full screen mode before watching the Hobbit.  I love Star Trek have seen every episode of every series. Was absolutley enthralled by the last J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie which has put Chris Pine on my list of the only dude I'd go gay for, lol. Cumberbatch has some big shoes to fill stepping into the villain role, Eric Bana was intense and had some fantastic line deliveries. I think I'm going to have to catch up on Cumberbatch's Sherlock show to hold me over.
